Insurance

At Chicagoland Neuropsychology, we strive to make access to high-quality neuropsychological services as seamless as possible. To help with the financial aspect of care, we accept the following insurance plans:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS PPO)
  • Meritain Health
  • Cigna PPO
  • Evernorth
  • United Healthcare
  • Medicare
  • Worker’s Compensation

Unfortunately, we are not set up to bill HMO plans or state insurance programs, including Medicaid. Typically, the best place to start is with the phone number on your card or with a large hospital system. They have the kind of enormous billing departments that can work with these plans.

Important Notes:

  • In most cases, we can arrange a payment plan. Just ask!
  • For patients with out-of-network benefits or insurance plans, we cannot bill, you may pay out of pocket for the evaluation, and we can provide a detailed receipt (Superbill), which you may submit to your insurance provider to obtain your Out Of Network benefits.
  • We gladly accept Health Savings Cards.
  • We offer a sliding fee scale, where the cost of the evaluation is based on family income. To receive this reduced rate, we require copies of tax returns for all individuals within the household.

When you contact us, we can begin checking your insurance to get an estimate of what they would require you to pay. This estimate isn’t exact, but your insurance company typically provides accurate information. It is important that we check your benefits ahead of time to reduce surprises for both you and us. We also understand that navigating insurance can be difficult, so we’re happy to explain the cost breakdown that they provide us.
